DEWA's technology list

DEWA's MD and CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer told the Emirates News Agency that the authority continues to develop an integrated clean-energy ecosystem built on innovation, advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, smart grids and energy storage. He said this improves the readiness of DEWA's infrastructure to meet future demand.

Storage at scale

Masdar's CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi told WAM that the company is combining renewable power with advanced energy storage to deliver reliable clean electricity at scale. He said Masdar is working towards 100 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Why these technologies matter now

As the solar share rises towards the 36 per cent target, the grid has to absorb output that varies through the day. The officials quoted by WAM did not give technical detail, but storage and smarter grid management are the tools they named for this.

Where the opportunity sits

For technology companies, the WAM report names the categories, not specific tenders. Software for forecasting and grid operations, storage integration and efficiency tools all fall within the language officials used. Firms should verify procurement routes directly with utilities.
